Today is the birthday of the Wimbledon Tennis Tournament

Wimbledon Tennis Tournament was played in 1877. Sponsored by the All England Croquet Club, the tournament was won by Spencer Gore. Wimbledon traditions include the eating of strawberries and cream, royal patronage, and a strict dress code for competitors.

"Things can fall apart, or threaten to, for many reasons, and then there's got to be a leap of faith. Ultimately, when you're at the edge, you have to go forward or backward; if you go forward, you have to jump together."

Did you love paper dolls as a child? I did.

WHY? OH, WHY?: What is wrong with her? or him?

I guess all the good ones are taken. Everyone else does, blame it on the economy. Too cute!
I think I am a descendant of Samson - I recently trimmed all my nails because one broke and the others looked like claws. I had a dream that I all my nails were jagged and I was embarrassed showing them.

Any of you who regularly go for you 6-month dental appointments, I have a question (or two). There is a story behind it all so bear with me. When you're young you're begged to brush your teeth once a day. Then they tell you "in order for it to be effective, you should also brush before going to bed. Ok, so we're up to twice a day. Then the bring out the big word - floss! Now we are up to brushing twice a day and flossing. Then they tell you that you're not brushing correctly - not too hard because your gums are receding. Now we're up to brushing (gently) twice a day and flossing. Then they tell you there is build up at the gum lines so be sure and brush this area well. Say it with me....Now we're up to brushing twice daily making sure we're gentle yet getting the gumline + flossing. So when I go to the hygenist for my cleaning she tells me that I have a very tiny mouth (huh?) and that I have to close my mouth onto my fingers when I floss so I can reach the back better when flossing. Why must they always have some sage advise and good is never good enough? Don't even threaten me with scaling lady or these safety glasses are coming off.

Hook 'em!
